Here’s a quick way to repair Word as well as your entire Microsoft Office installation. It’s a fast, easy way to restore some normalcy to your daily document production. You can actually repair your Office installation from within the control panel and programs and features. Follow the instructions below for step by step instructions.

 

Windows 7

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. Right click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
  • For Office 2010, click Repair > Continue.
  • For Office 2007, click Repair > Continue.

You will most likely need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

 

Windows XP

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change, at the top of the window.
  • For Office 2010, click Repair > Continue.
  • For Office 2007, click Repair > Continue.

You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete.

 

If an Office repair doesn’t fix your issue, a full re-install will most likely do the trick.
