Nuance Power PDF Does More for Less Than Adobe

July 10, 2014

Adobe is a name most people trust. But it’s also a name most people rightfully associate with high costs. Adobe Acrobat Professional, which is pretty awesome, comes in over $400, which is a hefty price tag for some small firms. We wouldn’t recommend holding your breath and waiting for Adobe to come down in price. I think we all know that’s never going to happen. If the $400 price tag is doable for you, you might want to stick with Adobe. However, for those of you interested in a more affordable alternative, Nuance Power PDF Advanced comes in around $149. What will Power PDF do for you?

  • Provides commenting and editing tools
  • Allows you to use signatures
  • Converts PDFs into searchable PDFs
  • Exports PDF files to MS Office (Adobe doesn’t do this)
  • Allows you to create easy forms
  • Integrates with LexisNexis Casemap, Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, Office 365, and more
  • Allows you to add “sticky notes” to a PDF
  • Plus more…

As for navigating the tool, we suspect that if you’re familiar with Microsoft Office, you’ll have no trouble with Nuance’s Power PDF, because they’re really similar.
